Colorado Wildfires Jeopardize SGA Partners and Churches

 Dear Partners in the Gospel,

No doubt most of you have seen the terrible pictures and news reports of the wildfires scorching across the state of Colorado. While there has been some rain in some areas, the typical summer thunderstorms in the West can also ignite new fires through lightning.

Many SGA partners and church partners are in the affected areas. Colorado Springs is home to many evangelical ministries, including PhilanthroCorp, which has performed excellent service to SGA partners in the areas of estate planning and planned giving.

Pray for those who have been evacuated and for those who have lost their homes and businesses, asking for God’s peace, provision and comfort. And above all, please pray for rain without lightning—rain heavy enough to help extinguish these fires, and provide relief to the dedicated men and women fighting these fires round the clock. Pray for the protection of the homes and businesses who have not yet been affected. The last count we had, more than 300 homes have been destroyed.
