Privacy Policy

Introduction

Our guide to protecting your privacy is found in the words of Christ Himself as stated in Matthew 7:12, “In everything, therefore, treat people the same way you want them to treat you, for this is the Law and the Prophets.” Just as we are concerned with our own privacy, we provide this policy so that you know how we handle information associated with your visit.

What information does SGA collect?

In order to better manage our Web site, our servers record logs of what page or file was visited, when the visit occurred, and from which IP address it was accessed. These logs are sometimes associated with personally identifying information, if it is provided, in order to customize the information displayed to a particular visitor. See the section on cookies for further details.

Information other than site visit logs will not be collected without your consent. Only information necessary to provide a particular service will be collected, and that information will only be used for the stated purpose.

In the case of financial transactions, such as purchases or donations, we will only collect information required for the transaction.

Does SGA collect information from minors?

SGA does not encourage or knowingly collect information from or related to children under 13 years of age. SGA does not knowingly market its products or services to children. Any ministries that may involve children are intended for review by parents or legal guardians.

What does SGA do with information collected through the Web site?

SGA keeps all information associated with our visitors confidential. We do not share, sell, trade, or rent your information to third parties, other than to those acting on our behalf. All suppliers and vendors we use are contractually bound to maintain the confidentiality of information we provide and to destroy such information after services are rendered.

Does SGA use “cookies” on its Web sites?

SGA may use cookies to analyze site traffic patterns, identify repeat visitors, remember your personal preferences, and to provide a customized viewing experience to visitors. Examples include, but are not limited to, displaying articles of interest, greeting a repeat visitor, or listing events near a visitor’s location. The information stored in cookies are internal SGA identifiers that do not contain personal information and would not have meaning to third parties.

What security precautions does SGA take to protect visitor information?

SGA uses industry-standard security technologies for authentication and encryption to protect sensitive information.
