Good Press and a Major Event

In the morning, several Christian brothers came to see us off and they said that all the local TV programs said many good things about the Expedition. They reported not only about us, but about Christ, who came to this earth for our sake. We were especially happy that our words about Jesus were not edited out of the show.
The road from Rovno to Zhitomir is only 190 kilometers long. God gave us clouds in the sky above our heads. It was good to travel without heat. But sometimes the clouds were so thick that we were afraid it would rain. We were excited and there was a reason for it. An evening worship service had been planned in the central square of Zhitomir under an open sky.
The Expedition and Franklin Graham
In connection with a big evangelistic event to be held in Kiev with Franklin Graham, many regions in Ukraine had geared up to hold their own local evangelistic events. Zhitomir churches were thoroughly prepared. The choir Zhitomir region churches alone is made up of 400 singers! While Franklin was not present here in Zhitomir, the preparations for his crusade helped prepare the way for us. Praise the Lord!
We arrived just in time, had lunch, changed clothes and biked to the square. On the stairs of the local theater, (located near the Zhitomir municipal building, a choir was standing. Many chairs were set up in the square and all were occupied. But people were still coming and coming. We opened the meeting by coming forward together on the stage before the choir. Living Water sang, and we reported about our Expedition, showing the Atlantic Ocean water that we had with us. We shared about the love of Christ, which motivated the Expedition. At the end of the meeting, Stanislav Gruntkovsky proclaimed the Gospel to the crowd. We met many friends after the service and had a nice fellowship. Our fellowship continued in the church, where we stayed overnight. Christian youth from Zhitomir church came to talk to us. Our fellowship finished at midnight. We had only a few hours for rest. We were to get up early next morning.
