Gospel Expedition

After breakfast in Klintsy, we headed to Bryansk — a 181 km journey on rather poor roads. Bryansk is a rather spread-out town, and we had to cycle along for another 15 km before we reached the church. Out trip across the town became a good advertising campaign.

Kicking off the Next Phase

Once we got to Bryansk, we found that the local church people were awaiting us along with other members of the Expedition teams. Participants of the first two legs of the journey, the music group Living Water, and a children’s music group called Inheritance, headed for Bryansk’s Central Park for an evangelistic event. Everything went well, and it was a sunny, warm day. More than 200 people turned out for the event.

We conducted a symbolic transfer of the vessel of ocean water to the leader of the second stage of the rally, Alexei Smirnov. The joint ministry of the two teams was a blessed moment. More and more people kept coming into the park, and we had a good fellowship. There was singing along with a puppet program, testimonies, personal talks, and distribution of New Testaments. The evangelism continued for a while, a lot longer than we expected. It was a good beginning to the second stage of the trip.
