Help from the Mayor’s Office
Today’s report begins with a brief note from a local Russian pastor . . .
Peace be unto you! On June the 22nd, the Gospel Expedition arrived here in Chistopol. Our church met the cyclists and warmly welcomed them. An evangelistic meeting had been scheduled for 6 p.m. at a local club, and representatives of the town administration were present. I had been asking for permission for the meeting for two months, but received it only one day prior to the event! It was the only time we had for advertising. But the administration let us use the meeting place for free, and it was very generous of them. Next, the Expedition goes to Naberezhnie Chelny.

The Expedition Team Reports . . .
Our team met the new day smiling. It greeted us with rain — a wonderful morning for cycling! We went to Chistopol, but the rain made our way difficult, as well as a side wind and rather poor road. Praise God, He preserved us on the road, we had no accidents, and we reached the town.
At lunch, we met three Christian men who arrived at Chistopol from Neberezhnie Chelny, the next town on our route. They planned to go with us the next day. We went together to the meeting, which was only attended by a few people. But among them were three new people who were attending a Christian fellowship for the first time, and they heard the Good News. Our singers were a group called Once from Neberezhnie Chelny, and then the Gospel was presented in the message.
Evangelizing in a Sauna
Evangelization is a permanent state. After a cold morning, the pastor invited us to visit a sauna. While there, the Christian fellowship and camaraderie we had with one another made a sauna worker curious about us, and we talked to him. The man came to know about the Gospel and saw the work of the Lord in our fellowship with each other.
Thank you for your prayers, dear brothers and sisters!
