Russian Media Spread the Word
Encouraged by the news that brothers and sisters in various parts of Russia were also cycling and had evangelistic events in their towns that morning, we started on our way. Three Christian men from Naberezhnie Chelny accompanied us. One man was on scooter, and two other were on bikes.
We were warmly welcomed in the city! Instead of the traditional bread and salt, we were offered a snack called chak-chak, as well as bread and honey, which girls in national dress gave to us! Also present were a cycling group from the town cycling school with its coach, plus reporters from a local TV channel. This is the town where KAMAZ trucks are made. The entourage went to the club “KAMAZ where young cyclists from the school gave us flags of the Republic of Tatarstan. In turn, we gave them New Testaments and Christian flags.
The event in the evening had many surprises for us. Today the Day of Youth was celebrated. Many unsaved youth came. One of the local churches was celebrating its 15th anniversary. Many believers were there because of that. All these people came together in the square near the club. Testimonies were shared and the Gospel was preached in the square and beyond. The local TV crew videoed the event, and now thousands will come to know about it. Our cyclists were interviewed about the Gospel and the Expedition.
Praise God, our truck KAMAZ is hauling less weight as more and more boxes of New Testaments are opened, and books are distributed! We do it with great pleasure!
