Today is Sunday — the Lord’s Day, which is a special day for Christians all over the world, as believers attend church and worship God. Today was also a special day for the Expedition, as we were able to present the Gospel to people who do not normally attend church. Encouraged by the news that brothers and sisters in various parts of Russia were also cycling and had evangelistic events in their towns that morning, we started on our way. Peace be unto you! On June the 22nd, the Gospel Expedition arrived here in Chistopol. Our church met the cyclists and warmly welcomed them. Every day we visit a new republic within the Russian Federation. The team covered 160 km today and arrived at Kazan, the 1,000-year-old capital city of Tatarstan. The Pastor of Nazareth UECB Church met us, as well as a crew from the TV channel STS. New day, new city, new acquaintances. We asked God’s blessings and headed for Ioshkar-Ola, which means “Beautiful City.” It’s the capital city of the Mari-El Republic. As we drew near, we met the leader of a bicycling school and his students. He gladly showed us the photos about his former cycling adventures when he traveled to Vladivostok on his bike.
