A Welcoming Town and Children’s Ministry

august-30.jpgWe resumed our trip at 7 the next morning accompanied by the police car that was escorting us. We had enough time to cover 155 kilometers, but our cyclists wheeled along quickly and we covered the first 100 km in 2-1/2 hours. We stopped to have lunch and took an hour. We have not had such a long rest for many days during the Expedition. [Continue reading A Welcoming Town and Children’s Ministry …]

On to Amazar and Ministry with Children

august-15-1.jpgWe came together for morning prayer and read Isaiah 40:26, 31 . . . Because of the greatness of His might and the strength of His power, not one of them is missing . . . Yet those who wait for the Lord will gain new strength . . . We were refreshed by His power to fulfill His tasks.

The road that will take us to Amazar is 104 kilometers-long. We started on our way at 8.00 a.m. after breakfast. We are not surprised by the road covered with gravel and dust. The cyclists were first in line followed by the KAMAZ. Each time we see a cloud of dust before us we know that those are oncoming vehicles. Our truck KAMAZ then goes to the front and forces them to stop. Most vehicles slow down, except in some rare cases. Our God preserves us according to the prayers of His saints. As we entered town, an elderly lady watched us and crossed herself. [Continue reading Young People Searching for Answers …]

A New Team at Tyumen

july-5-6.jpgMinisters from Spiritual Revival Baptist Church met us 10 km outside of Tyumen, along with two police cars. Traffic was stopped especially for the Expedition. I do not know how many police officers were on the roads that day, but our cyclists could not travel faster than 30k/h. We were rather tired as we had already traveled 210 km. The road was not even all the time, but still it was a road. We’ve been warned that later on, the Expedition will encounter real problems with the quality of the roads on which we’ll be traveling. Horseflies and Ministry to Delinquents

22162175_izobrazhenie_151.jpgTo our discomfort, huge horseflies accompanied us all the way to Kurgan. We were told that when we get closer to Krasnoyarsk, gnats will take over from the horseflies. We were biking along at 30-35 k/h, but amazingly, the horseflies were even faster. It was fascinating to see how fast they reached our moving vehicle and got in through the open windows.
