The Mission

And He sent them out to proclaim the kingdom of God . . . (Luke 9:2).

It has never been done before in Russia on a scale of this magnitude! A number of excited, dedicated and intrepid teams made up of Russian church leaders, pastors, church-planting missionaries and other church workers with the Russian Union of Evangelical Christians-Baptists (UECB) participated in the historic Gospel Expedition 2004 — believed to be the largest missionary journey in the 136-year history of the UECB.

Snowy road

Thousands of miles of rough road . . . and thousands waiting to hear the Gospel.

Led by UECB president Rev. Yuri Sipko, these tireless missionary teams covered some 25,000 miles of territory across Russia’s vast expanse. Many of the people living in these widely scattered villages and towns have never been reached with a clear presentation of the Gospel. SGA is privileged and blessed by the Lord to be able to assist our Russian brothers and sisters with Gospel Expedition '04.

These pages are dedicated to sharing the fruit gathered for the glory of Christ through the Gospel Expedition. As you read the reports, please pray for the thousands of men, women and children who have now heard the story of God’s great love, mercy and grace. And pray for those who have recently been brought to saving faith through the efforts of the expedition team.
