SGA-Sponsored Christmas Ministries Bear Eternal Fruit!
While Western nations celebrate Christmas on December 25, our brothers and sisters across Russia and her neighboring countries celebrate Christmas on January 7. For Russian-speaking churches, the Christmas season is the most important time of the year for evangelism, especially with children.
Each year, the SGA-sponsored Immanuel’s Child outreach brings participating churches from across North America together with their counterparts in Russia and the other countries of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS). Their joint purpose is to help make Christmas a wonderful, life-changing time for lost and needy Russian-speaking children who desperately need Jesus.
In addition to hearing the Gospel clearly presented, each child receives a wrapped gift, a children’s illustrated Bible, special treats and a Bethlehem Star ornament with a personal greeting from someone in your church. Thousands of children, their families, and caregivers are reached through Immanuel’s Child, with follow-up ministry ongoing throughout the year!

Please continue to pray for the children who heard the Gospel and responded, asking God to strengthen them in their new faith. Pray also for the salvation of the children who heard, but have not yet repented and trusted in Christ.
Plans are already underway for next year, so please click here to request an Immanuel’s Child kit for your church, and help us make next year’s Christmas an unforgettable one — both for your congregation, and for a lost, needy Russian child.
Orphans Reborn and Christmas
In addition to Immanuel’s Child outreaches, the year round, SGA-sponsored Orphans Reborn ministry also has a vitally important Christmas component. With more than 700,000 lonely, forgotten children living in state-run orphanages across Russia alone, the need is enormous. They urgently need to hear the Gospel story — the true meaning of Christmas—and this affords a tremendous opportunity to tell it to thousands of eager young boys and girls.
The faithful Orphans Reborn teams consider Christmas a special opportunity. SGA partners make it possible to provide these precious, hurting children with Russian-language Christian children’s literature and other gifts, which can include warm clothing or toiletries, along with a clear presentation of the Gospel. The countries where Orphans Reborn Christmas ministries take place include Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, Armenia and Kazakhstan.
Please remember to intercede in prayer for the Orphans Reborn teams and the children—not just at Christmas but also throughout the year as ongoing ministry takes place. Click here for more information or to make a donation.
Thank you for praying for SGA’s Christmas outreaches across the lands of Russia!
