Orphans Reborn Opens New Location
Thanks to a generous commitment from a North American partner, the Lord has opened up an opportunity to support orphan ministries in a new orphanage in central Asia. We have just received the first reports and information about this new location, and we are excited to see what the Lord will do in this place!
All over the former Soviet Union, there are orphanages for children in varying life circumstances. Not all of them are what we would consider orphans -- those without parents. Some are abandoned, homeless, or their parents have been imprisoned. In other cases, in difficult economic situations, often loving parents who are too poor to care for their children bring them to the orphanage in hope of being able to take them back again sometime in the future.
In this new Orphans Reborn location, workers from a local evangelical church have an opportunity to work with disabled children. Through regular visits, each child in this orphanage will be able to forge new friendships with loving Christians who will share with them the life-changing Gospel of Jesus Christ.
Please pray for this new venture. These faithful workers will have a tremendous impact on the children that they reach. But that's just the beginning -- history shows that as people in the community see the love of Christ shared with the lowest members of their community, it will build evangelistic bridges for reaching the people that would never have given an evangelical church a second thought.
