MINISTRIES   -    CHILDRENS   -   CHURCH PLANTING   -   COMPASSION   -   LITERATURE   -   TRAINING   -   YOUTH

Did You Know?

  • Russia is four times the size of the United States.
  • There are 300,000,000 people in Russia and her neighboring countries.
  • There are more than 700,000 orphans in Russia alone.

Why is Ministry in Russia Important?

Russia is a country that has great influence in the world because of its military power, natural resources, and population size. The country endured more than 70 years of atheism when communists ruled, and has been inundated for the last 20 years with Western secularism. Given their growing influence in the world today, there is no greater need today than for millions of Russian speaking men, women, and children need to hear the Gospel.

How Can Your Church Make a Difference?

Your church can make a difference by teaching the children who attend Sunday school or VBS the importance of living their life on mission, while also encouraging them to carry out the Great Commission to the ends of the earth.

What Does It Mean to Live a Life On Mission?

Living a life on mission is simply realizing that no matter how old a person is, or whatever their abilities and gifts, anyone can share the life-changing message of the Gospel with their family, friends, or people in their community. It is also realizing that there are Christian brothers and sisters on the other side of the world who need our support as they live their lives on mission for the Gospel.

How Can You Teach Children in Your Church to Live a Life On Mission?

One way to teach them is through SGA’s My Mission Adventure kit. My Mission Adventure is a missions component intended to compliment a VBS or Sunday school curriculum targeting children ages 5-12. The purpose is to encourage children to live life on mission—to encourage them in their personal spiritual walk, develop their spiritual gifts, and acquaint them with the spiritual and physical needs of orphans on the other side of the world.

How Does My Mission Adventure Work?

Each segment of My Mission Adventure includes a Bible lesson designed to explain an aspect of actively living a life on mission. It encourages them to continue their mission in part through involvement in both short-term and long-term ministry to orphan children – this is children reaching children with the Gospel. The short-term project included with the kit is the distribution of signed bookmarks (your children can sign the bookmarks for orphans. These bookmarks remind orphans that there are children in the United States praying for them. The bookmarks will be collected from churches in the US and distributed by churches in Russia and her surrounding countries who are living life on mission).

The long-term project suggested is supporting ministry to lonely, forgotten orphan children who can be used greatly of God for His glory. For as little as $5 a month, 1 orphan can be reached with the Gospel message, and discipled in living their life on mission for Christ. After SGA receives bookmarks from your Sunday school or VBS class, your church will receive a follow-up DVD that shows the need of orphans across Russia and her neighboring countries. Throughout the year, through involvement in the Orphans Reborn ministry, your church will receive reports that share how churches are living life on mission in their communities, and how the lives of orphans are being changed by the power of the Lord Jesus Christ.

My Mission Adventure is designed to engage children through the use of multi-media tools.

What Does the My Mission Adventure Kit Include?

My Mission Adventure contains five mission lessons in each kit, a five-part DVD, five Power Point presentations, a CD with Russian songs for children to learn, activity sheets (reproducible), bookmarks for children to sign and send to orphans across Russia and her neighboring countries (facilitated by SGA), and an implementation guide. There are currently 2 kits available: Kit #1 (Lessons 1-5) and Kit #2 (Lessons 6-10).

Each kit comes with 20 bookmarks, more can be purchased on the SGA Bookstore. Please note: these kits are only available in the U.S. and Canada.
