Thank you for your answers! They are helpful to our team at Slavic Gospel Association (SGA). You see, Jesus is doing something amazing right now in Russia and the other nations of the former Soviet Union. 

You won’t hear it in the media, but we believe God has opened the biggest door for evangelism since the fall of communism. 

A network of approximately 6,000 doctrinally sound, Bible-believing churches and five Bible seminaries and Bible institutes, serving 11 time zones, is reaching into their communities, bringing people to Christ and making committed disciples. 

Who is turning to Christ? Atheists. Addicts. Orphans. Widows. And more! 

In nations where social evil, economic misery, and spiritual darkness reign, Christ is proving more powerful as He uses faithful believers to draw hurting souls out of darkness into His light, making new generations who will reach still more! 

One example is 12-year-old Sonya. She lives in Far East Russia. In 2019, Sonya was removed from her separated, addicted parents. Then, in a shelter, she met Elena . . . and Christ as her Lord! Elena is a worker with a church sponsored by SGA.  

“I was interested to learn about God and Christ,” Sonya told us. “I received a Bible as a gift. I now had my own Bible. I was always looking for the following Sunday to come . . . waiting for our friends from the church. Every time they entered the courtyard, we shouted, ‘Sunday school has come.’ It was so amazing!”

Sadly, Sonya was sent back to her mother during the COVID-19 restrictions, but the situation wasn’t good. Sonya says, “I couldn’t stay there any longer.” 

Sonya packed her bags and fled through the streets toward the orphanage, looking for Elena. “I was cold, and it was already getting dark,” she says. Miraculously, the Lord crossed their paths, and Sonya was safe! Today she is in an orphanage, studying the Bible and growing due to weekly discipleship sponsored by SGA supporters in America. She even helps other orphans with their Bible studies! 

Sonya was rescued because people like you prayed and gave.

Many orphans are caught in a web of organized crime, human sex trafficking, drug gangs, addiction, despair, and suicide. But SGA-sponsored Orphans Reborn ministry gives them a Bible, weekly discipleship, and a church family when they leave the orphanage!

Immanuel’s Child Christmas outreaches that deliver gifts and the Gospel across the former USSR. Children and families flock to Christmas parties held by SGA-sponsored churches—and thousands come to Christ!

Summer Bible Camps that reach tens of thousands of children and parents—mostly non-Christians—bringing thousands to Christ and into churches. Many camps are held at former atheist, communist “Pioneer Camps.” Now the Gospel is preached!

Compassion Ministries that reach widows, orphans, elderly, and the sick, including in war zones where lives and souls are eternally saved. Lives are literally at stake—and eternal souls hang in the balance. SGA-sponsored pastors reach them!

Leadership Training via seminaries, Bible institutes, and lay institutes. SGA only sponsors sound biblical doctrine…and practical, life-transforming love through ministry skills.

These outreaches are advancing amid the crisis of COVID-19, social disruptions, and even war within the former Soviet nations. Right now, the door is open in this massive, huge region. But only God knows when it may close. SGA needs new friends like you to rush the Gospel to more waiting souls.
