Editor’s Note: The report, testimonies, and images below were provided by an SGA-supported pastor and church in Ukraine.

By God’s grace and despite the ongoing war in Ukraine, an SGA-supported missionary pastor named Vasily and his congregation were able to hold a five-day Summer Bible Camp for children in their community. From 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. during the week, the girls and boys enjoyed times of prayer, learning and singing praise songs, sports, crafts, and Bible lessons.

Vasily shared that many children stood up for prayer in response to a call to repentance. The camper’s parents were invited to attend Sunday service at the church, and since camp ended several families have come to worship. Praise the Lord!

By God’s grace and through financial and prayer support of SGA partners, we were able to run a five-day camp housed by our church.

We had children in the camp from among IDP (internally displaced persons) families, disadvantaged families and families with many children. Most of the children were at the Christian camp for the first time. According to the feedback, children and parents liked it very much.

There were so many gifts that Sonya even gave gifts to her mom and dad. We haven’t had such a pleasant emotional week for a long time.
