With these days being so uncertain in the land of Israel, it is wonderful to hear of how God’s glory is still very much present. SGA Storyteller Angelina shares with us about Alex, a music instructor and faithful servant of the church.
“We play music only for the glory of God!” Alex shares this encouragement with his students as he prepares them to be an encouragement to others. In whatever we do, may we also do it all for the glory of God! Please pray for Alex as his heart is to raise up worship leaders in the churches of Israel. And also continue to pray for Israel in these uncertain times.

Here is Alex’s story as shared by Angelina . . .
Alex lives in Israel, he is married to Svetlana, and they have one son, Mark. Alex is a Russian-speaking Jew. He is one of the founders and managers of a School of Music and Arts. He gives piano lessons to kids and teenagers from churches from all over Israel. One to two times a year, Alex and his students give recitals and worship evenings in different churches around Israel. He’s been doing it for many years, and his main goal is to raise worship leaders in churches in Israel.
A couple of weeks ago, Alex and his students came to our SGA-supported church in Ashkelon, and we had a beautiful evening filled with piano music. The children played worship songs and classical music. Alex always tells his students, “We play music only for the glory of God!”
