Help SGA-supported churches reach needy families with emergency help and hope.
In addition to the great spiritual emptiness that exists, millions of people, their families, and children face tremendous physical needs. Unemployment and poverty are rampant in many regions, and day-to-day survival is a constant struggle.
The faithful evangelical churches SGA serves strive to follow the example of the Lord Jesus in demonstrating His compassion by word and deed. The support of SGA partners helps missionary pastors reach out to needy families with clothing, footwear, distribution of staple food items and other aid—all the while pointing to Lord Jesus as the loving source of help. His church . . . working as one to be His hands and feet, reaching out in His compassion.
Please pray for God’s continued protection over SGA Storyteller Angela, her husband Val (and SGA-supported chaplain), and their young daughter as they live and minister in the midst of war in Ukraine. Ask the Lord to surround them with His peace, guard them from danger, and strengthen their faith as they serve others in Jesus’ name.
Food for the Needy in the CIS
In the countries of Belarus, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, and Tajikistan, SGA-sponsored missionary pastors are visiting needy families in their regions with much-needed parcels of staple food items. The average parcel contains items such as flour, buckwheat, condensed milk, cooking oil, cereals, and other food items. In addition, Russian-language evangelistic literature is also included with every parcel. You can help provide a food parcel and reach a needy family with the hope of Jesus Christ today.
Not only does SGA-sponsored Compassion Ministry help provide for the physical needs of the poor, distressed, and dispirited, but it also helps open the door for missionary pastors and other church workers to share the life-changing Gospel of Jesus Christ. As more and more come to know Him as Savior and Lord, they discover their spiritual shackles broken, their physical needs met, and their lives eternally transformed by His saving power. And then—as part of God’s forever family—they themselves reach out to others to share the Good News of what God has done for them.
Pray for Dima, Vlad, and other SGA-supported missionary pastors serving in dangerous areas in war-torn Ukraine—that God would protect them and strengthen their faith. Ask the Lord to use their ministry to bring comfort and draw many to Christ in the midst of hardship.
