Editor’s Note: An SGA supported pastor shares the following report.

Across the vast and often challenging landscape of the former Soviet Union—including nations like Ukraine, Moldova, Kazakhstan, and beyond—something remarkable is happening: the church is growing. Amid war zones, poverty, and religious restrictions, men and women are being equipped to preach the Gospel, disciple new believers, and plant churches. Behind this movement stands a vital engine of spiritual growth: Bible training.

Through the faithful partnership of generous friends like you and local believers, Slavic Gospel Association (SGA) is funding seminaries, Bible schools, and church-based Antioch Initiative Bible training, empowering a new generation of Gospel leaders.

A Testimony from the Field: Moldova

At the University of Divine Grace (UDG) in Chisinau, Moldova, the fruit of this training is already visible. An SGA-supported pastor named Yuri shared about a week of Antioch Initiative training:

Thank you for your message and your continued support of the training initiative at UDG. We are indeed excited to begin these sessions and trust that the Lord will use them to equip the next generation of faithful leaders.

We started the biblical foundations module with the first session on Monday and today (Friday) is the last day of classes. It has been a great week so far with very positive and encouraging feedback from the students. We managed to successfully enroll these 22 students (and there are two more who were accepted yesterday but they will begin with the next session) and there are others who are considering joining soon.

These ministry leaders—many of whom are volunteers—will return to their communities equipped to lead home groups, youth ministries, Bible studies, and even church plants.

When you support Bible training through SGA, you’re doing more than funding a class—you’re giving toward what God can do to shape the spiritual future of entire communities. Let the Gospel advance—one faithful leader at a time!
