Urgent Need for Aid as up to 5 Million Are Fleeing War in Ukraine.

War is now raging between Russia and Ukraine. Thousands of children, families, and elderly are caught in the middle, and risk death THROUGH EXPOSURE. 5 million are fleeing—with almost nothing! Most won’t make it to neutral territory. Stuck in over-crowded camps, on roadsides, and with infrastructure damaged or over-used . . . they need our urgent, intercessory prayers, and our physical help.

Thankfully, CHRISTIANS from evangelical churches in the region have organized to provide bags of groceries . . . Winter Warmth packages with blankets and clothes . . . and Family Survival Kits. AND refugees receive the love and Gospel of Christ!

Hearts are open to God like no other time! Please, help Slavic Gospel Association—making disciples in Slavic nations since 1934—reach these millions of hurting people with love and eternal salvation!

Your gift of $15 can help provide a bag of groceries. $70 will be enough for a Winter Warmth package with blankets and warm clothes for the bitter cold temperatures. And a gift of $215 is enough to provide a Family Survival Kit with blankets, water, medicine, and food. AND . . . the love and Gospel of Christ to offer eternal salvation.

ECFA CHARTER

SGA is firmly committed to good stewardship of funds entrusted to us by our friends and donors. We promise to use your gifts wisely and effectively in Christ’s name.

SGA, through our sponsored churches, pastors, and missionaries, has been ministering to the spiritual and physical needs of people in Ukraine since 1934. And we will continue to work through our network of churches to support them spiritually and physically in the months and years to come, by God’s grace.

Now, in this hour of urgent and tragic need, we must care for suffering children and families.

Pastors Request Prayer:

SGA-supported missionary pastor from the Chernigov region asks us to pray for God’s protection. He has no opportunity to flee to a safer place.
SGA-supported church planter in Odessa asks prayer for wisdom as he directs people to move to the rural Odessa region away from the city. People are in panic as stores are being emptied and gas stations ran out of gasoline.
SGA-supported pastor from the Sumy region asks us to pray for peace as people are told to prepare for the worst. They were warned that water and electricity might be cut off. Most believers are staying in the city.
SGA-supported pastor from the Dnepr region asks us to pray for his church. They are preparing for the flow of refugees going to western Ukraine. The church is ready to feed and lodge many people. He asks that we pray that their city will not be taken. Also, that in the midst of these circumstances, revival will happen and that people will call upon God. He especially asked for prayer for the pastors and church workers who are staying in place to serve people.
SGA-supported pastor from Western Ukraine said that people are in great panic and fear. Pray for peace in Ukraine.

SGA Translator Request:

Our translator from Zhitomir is asking that we pray for Ukraine as a whole, for his family, and especially for his mother’s salvation! He said, “I’m more worried about her, when you are saved, dying is not so scary.”
