In war-stricken regions of Ukraine, many families remain trapped—unable to flee, enduring daily hardship, and facing deep uncertainty. Yet even in these difficult places, God is at work through His church.
Through Ukraine Relief, SGA-supported missionary pastors like Pastor Dima and Pastor Vlad continue to go where the need is greatest—bringing both urgent aid and the unshakable hope of the Gospel.
Recently, their teams traveled to a village near the front lines that had just suffered another missile attack. Homes were damaged, lives were disrupted, and one life was tragically lost. In the aftermath, believers arrived not only with bags of groceries and essential supplies, but also with compassion, presence, and prayer.
Dima shared this report:
Today we visited a village where yesterday where [the invaders] bombed the town again. You can see photos of the destruction, and one person was killed. We came to provide food for the people, so we brought clothes and visited with them, who were very happy to receive food and chocolate. Vlad went to a remote village to evacuate children, and we went to visit the disabled and distribute food. We also brought spiritual literature and prayed with them.
We see how international aid to Ukraine is decreasing, and this is a very difficult sign for us. Thank you also for the help with heating with firewood; there were severe frosts in Ukraine, and we helped people stay warm in the cold!
These moments reflect the heart of Ukraine Relief. As churches faithfully serve, the Lord uses every bag of groceries, every visit, and every prayer to open doors for the Gospel. People who are weary, grieving, and searching are hearing about the only true source of lasting hope—Jesus Christ.
Even as resources become more limited and the challenges continue, SGA-supported churches remain committed. They are visiting the elderly, helping evacuate children, caring for the disabled, and standing alongside families who feel forgotten.
How You Can Pray
In the hardest places, God is still drawing people to Himself—working through faithful believers who refuse to leave, and who continue to share His love one person at a time.
