CBN Interviews Ukrainian Pastor Bringing Hope to Children Living Through War
CBN’s Raj Nair spoke with Pastor Valentyn Lupashko from southern Ukraine about what childhood looks like for a generation growing up amid war—and how local evangelical churches are creating places of hope, safety and joy through SGA-supported summer Bible camps
Pastor Valentyn shared firsthand what children and families are experiencing as air-raid sirens, missile and drone attacks, displacement and loss have become part of daily life. He also described the remarkable response he is seeing at the camps, where children receive meals, friendship, Bible teaching and the opportunity to simply be children again. More than 80,000 children are expected to attend SGA-supported summer camps across Ukraine and the former Soviet Union this year. Local pastors, like Pastor Valentyn, and churches lead the camps which always include a clear presentation of the Gospel.
