Surely, today there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents (Luke 15:10). A physical need drew a Ukrainian woman named Lida to an SGA-supported church to receive humanitarian aid supplied through SGA-supported Compassion Ministry. But there she discovered her much greater spiritual need and has now entered into the Kingdom of God!

“This is my new sister in Christ, Lida! She is from an embattled city on the front line of the war. She was born into a large family of 10 children. She turned away from God when she was young and lived without faith.

“A year ago her house was destroyed, and she came to [this region] to see her son, then came to our help center for food and heard the Gospel. She repented and is now a member of our church!

“Lida’s relatives saw the photo of her baptism on my Facebook page and wrote in their group that they had been praying for her for 10 years, and the Lord found her. Thank God we did not labor in vain!”
