Life Lessons from “Unwanted” Orphans

Stories of God’s Restoration in the Lives of At-Risk Children Hurt by War and Other Heartbreaking Hardships

In the countries of the former Soviet Union, there are countless orphans today. That’s why Orphans Reborn ministry is a critical outreach for the churches we serve! Without Christ, these vulnerable children often end up on drugs, as prostitutes, recruited by organized crime, or victims of suicide. But partnering together, we are giving them Jesus instead!

As you consider the stories in the Life Lessons from “Unwanted” Orphans eBook—and listen to the audio versions of these inspiring stories below—we hope you will be encouraged by the amazing life transformation! With your support and prayers, and those of caring friends like you, God is changing lives through SGA’s Orphans Reborn ministry outreach.

SGA’s Orphans Reborn Ministry

It is estimated that 50,000 children become orphans each year—including “traditional orphans” who have no parents, and “social orphans” who have a parent or parents who are unable or unwilling to care for them.

Yet out of this tragedy, the fields are ripe for a harvest of young souls! Every year, SGA helps biblically sound churches reach out through our Orphans Reborn ministry. Trained and loving volunteers give orphans humanitarian aid, love, Bibles and literature, and often meet for weekly discipleship. This is how God is restoring the lives of unwanted children!
