Here is a short report from Elijah, who lives in Israel and yet continues to be an important connection to help churches in southern Ukraine. Through him, SGA was able to assist a church in the Kherson region, which is very close to the front lines.
Notice from the report below and from the video that just days ago a rocket landed nearby and caused damage to this church. Please pray for God’s provision to reconstruct the affected buildings and for His protection for this small congregation.
A brother from Ukraine contacted me through Yura, who knows him personally and speaks warmly of this brother and his ministry. They also helped distribute food packages in the region thanks to your help . . . The pastor’s name is David.
When everyone left at the beginning of the war, he stayed and seven people remained from the church, all the rest left. Now up to 50 people gather in the church thanks to their ministry and help. They served a lot during the difficult situation during the war and especially during the flood.
A few days ago, a rocket flew into the churchyard and the blast wave destroyed the house, the church where they were meeting, and the kitchen of the second building on the church grounds. They ask for help to buy materials and repairs. If you are able to help them, it will be a great blessing to them.
I am attaching photographs and videos of this church and the destruction that the rocket caused.
In a time of great uncertainty, God is bringing help, healing, and hope to the people of Ukraine through SGA-supported pastors, churches, a seminary, and SGA-supported Compassion Ministry. Be a part of God’s incredible work with your generosity and prayer support.
Your gift of compassion helps struggling people with emergency aid that generally includes Scripture materials, food, medicine, warm clothing, and shoes.
