Yulia has suffered greatly during the war in Ukraine. After being evacuated to Belgium in March of 2022 when the war began, Yulia gave birth this past summer. Soon after, she and her husband returned to Ukraine and discovered their home had been partially destroyed. Yulia’s husband was a kind man and helped supply community members with food and other assistance. But one awful day, a shell flew into his yard and he was killed from a fragment at the age of 33, leaving Yulia behind—a new mother and now a widow.
These are the types of people with harrowing stories turning to SGA-supported churches for help. During this great time of need, food packages are continually needed and being distributed throughout communities in Ukraine and Poland. Many people receiving the packages have broken bodies, broken homes, and broken spirits.
This winter, when hurting souls like Yulia have had nowhere else to turn, your support helps provide them food, warmth, humanitarian aid, and the message of the Gospel. As you can see in the photos below, when community members receive food packages, many also attend church services, worship together, and hear the Good News!
Thank you to our friends and supporters for doing such important Kingdom work during this time of great need. Your kindness and generosity is truly helping the lost and sharing the Good News of Christ with a hurting world.
In a time of great uncertainty, God is bringing help, healing, and hope to the people of Ukraine through SGA-supported pastors, churches, a seminary, and SGA-sponsored Compassion Ministry. Be a part of God’s incredible work with your generosity and prayer support.
Your gift of compassion helps struggling people with emergency aid that generally includes Scripture materials, food, medicine, warm clothing, and shoes.
