Several SGA-supported pastors—including Dima and Vlad—and teams from their Baptist Union churches ventured to a village less than 1 ½ miles from active fighting in Ukraine. There, they found incredible destruction, tired and hungry people, and a need for hope.
The team provided aid from their van directly while explosions and gunfire could be heard in the distance, as there was no existing church building. Our brothers in Christ preached the Gospel and prayed (as you can see in the video below). These faithful men and their churches have never ceased their efforts since the initial invasion in 2014, and even more intensely since the war began.
Please take a moment and look at the destruction of a school building, and then look at the pictures of Dima praying, preaching and distributing aid. May God be glorified as the Gospel is advanced through His church.
In a time of great uncertainty, God is bringing help, healing, and hope to the people of Ukraine through SGA-supported pastors, churches, a seminary, and SGA-sponsored Compassion Ministry. Be a part of God’s incredible work with your generosity and prayer support.
Your gift of compassion helps struggling people with emergency aid that generally includes Scripture materials, food, medicine, warm clothing, and shoes.
