I spent some wonderful time with the staff at the University of Divine Grace in central Moldova. The focus of this school is social ministry, with an emphasis on equipping Central Asian students. But times have changed, and they felt a need to focus on equipping pastors and missionaries.
There was discussion about the SGA-supported Antioch Initiative Bible training program to cultivate students who would move on to bachelor’s level training. We discussed the need to train more men as pastors and missionary pastors, training them up in sound doctrine and as men whose hearts are shaped by study of the Word (Ezra 7:10).
There are 157 churches in the relatively small nation of Moldova, yet there are still cities and villages with no Bible-teaching church. SGA is focused on Bible training and blessed to walk this road with them. For such a time as this, as we are well positioned to help them with this new focus over time.
