How many of us prepared coffee or tea this morning without concern over the capacity to heat up our beverages? Just imagine the joy in a cold home that now has a simple, portable cast iron stove. It brings warmth to the chill that fills the bones, and a hot beverage when none was expected.

Let’s give praise to God for providing stoves to bless hurting Ukrainians in need this winter. Here is what SGA-supported Pastor Anatoly recently shared with us. As you see the impact of these “miracle stoves,” consider God’s goodness to many grateful people . . .

Anatoly:

I want to send SGA and our sponsors my gratitude for your faithful ministry, for your warm hearts, for your unconditional love and care about our needs!  This is a Christian lady on the video who has been a member of the church since 1991. Her name is Vera (Hope) and is 66 years old. She lives with her mother. Vera is sending her thanks to SGA and all those who’ve been participating in buying this stove. She is praising the Lord for you!

Anatoly also sent this short video to show how he makes a cup of tea on the stove. Here is the rough translation:

The stove is heating well, you can’t hold your hand close for long. Oh, soon the water will boil, thank God! Let’s try to heat it up well first and make a nice cup of tea. Then I’ll go to the store and buy some pipes to install the stove in the house, so that the smoke can go outside through the chimney. That’s the miracle stove that is working now! The wood is burning, there is no smoke, although it is burning/heating strongly. The water is about to boil.

In a time of great uncertainty, God is bringing help, healing, and hope to the people of Ukraine through SGA-supported pastors, churches, a seminary, and SGA-sponsored Compassion Ministry. Be a part of God’s incredible work with your generosity and prayer support.

Your gift of compassion helps struggling people with emergency aid that generally includes Scripture materials, food, medicine, warm clothing, and shoes.
