Editor’s Note: An SGA-supported pastor in Central Asia shares the following report.

Summer camps don’t always happen in one particular location, where everything is organized and scheduled. Sometimes, summer camps come to villages or homes, where people would never expect them to be.

In the story below, you will read of a pastor’s family who faithfully packs up “summer camp” and journeys through mostly Muslim villages speaking the Word of Truth into the hearts of the children—in hopes that these words will grow into salvation through faith in Jesus Christ. ”As always, we sowed the Word in the hope that the Lord will grow it.”

Great connections and relationships can be made through the fellowship and hospitality of meeting children in their own surroundings. Please pray for this faithful pastor and his family who continue to plant the seeds of the Gospel throughout their region.

Greetings to you, dear brothers, and sisters! Peace and God’s blessings to you!

We started summer fellowship with children and our first meeting with children took place in a small village. We went there as a family, along with me were our girls, Esther, Sarah and Saida. Praise God, my children help me, and the Lord blesses! We used puppet theater productions to tell the children about the Word of God and about Jesus Christ. The first scene was about the prodigal son, then about the prophet Jonah who was swallowed by a whale, and another performance we showed about Jesus Christ where He forgives a woman caught in adultery. At the end of the three-day camp, we gave the children gifts and books. Praise God for these children. Many of them turned out to be very responsive to the Word of God, interested in the stories that we showed. As always, we sowed the Word in the hope that the Lord will grow it! We thank God and you for the opportunity to meet with children and share the Good News with them! Please pray with us for them, so that good shoots will sprout in their hearts!

In our country, we have a well-known region that is very picturesque, with beautiful views of forests, rivers, and waterfalls. I met one family who lives in one of the villages in this beautiful region. They invited us, and we took advantage of their invitation to communicate with the children. We put on a puppet show to tell the children and their parents about God, about Christ and about salvation through Him. We sang songs with the children and played games. The children willingly answered the questions, so it was obvious that they were interested! In the end, as always, we gave them gifts and books. We plan to do more camps, praying for God’s help and blessing. Please pray with us for these children and their parents, so that in the future, followers of Christ will appear in this beautiful village! We thank God and you, dear brothers, and sisters, for your help and support!

We held another day camp in another village. These people gathered there from different regions. Most of the residents live in houses without documents. Most of these houses are known as illegal construction. We regularly visit this village and conduct fellowship with the study of the Holy Scriptures. During the camp, we held lessons in the form of a puppet theater performance. There were also games, and at the end—according to tradition—there was a distribution of gifts and books. Praise God for the children of this village! Our ministry among them bears fruit! During the camp, three children repented of their sins and testified that Jesus Christ is their personal Savior! My heart is overflowing with joy when children talk about this! My girls exchanged contacts with the children to maintain communication. We also agreed that they will come to our service and children’s classes. We thank God for the opportunity to serve Him and bring children to Christ! Thank you, dear brothers and sisters, for your kind hearts, willing to help us in our service!
