Editor’s Note: The testimony below was provided by an SGA-supported church in a neighboring country of Ukraine.

Times of heartache and great tragedy for those impacted by the ongoing war in Ukraine are not only that. They are also tremendous opportunities to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ with hurting people whose defenses have been torn down . . . and those searching for hope.

Recently, an SGA-supported pastor named Sergei shared how he ministered to Natalia as he and his church members helped her on her journey from Ukraine to Poland. This grieving mother lost everything in the war, including her precious son who was skilled in an air-bomb blast. In her great pain, Natalia heard the Gospel as Sergei tenderly shared how God also “lost” His only Son . . . and that His “loss” is our greatest gain.

Will you take a moment now and pray for Natalia and every Ukrainian refugee fleeing their homeland who is helped by Sergei and his church members? May the seeds being planted take root in their hearts and draw each individual to a saving relationship with Jesus Christ.

“So that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing you may have life in His name” (John 20:31b).
