Just weeks ago, a drone impacted on a street outside of an apartment building where SGA-supported Pastor Ruslan ministers. The explosion blew out the windows of nearby apartments, causing significant damage to the rooms with windows. Ruslan’s wife was inside one of the apartments.
In God’s sovereignty, she was not near the windows. She had just risen from her bed and was in a hallway when the explosion occurred. The Father had her in the hollow of His hand. Ruslan was just driving up to their building. Although their apartment was damaged, Ruslan and his wife are well and after boarding up the windows with plywood, they remain there. See Ruslan’s special message for you that he recorded in front of the destruction where he lives . . .
Much like the assault that Dr Oleg and his wife endured Israel three years ago , this horrific attack is a reminder that life is fragile. Only God knows our days. And in this case, with Ruslan and his wife, and with Oleg and his wife, God has more work for them to do—and us as well.
Let us learn from this to praise God for the life we have each day, living each moment for Christ, and trust that God’s ways are higher than our ways, following Him daily with all of our heart, soul and mind (Matt 22:37-39, Luke 9:23). Please pray for Ruslan, his wife, and all the faithful brothers and sisters in Ukraine who serve in the most difficult of days.
