Each time we receive a message of gratitude sent by an SGA-supported pastor it is a time for rejoicing. Will you rejoice with us today as you read the words from Peter and Viktor below? Both of these pastors received generators for their churches thanks to the generosity of friends like you who have given to SGA’s Ukraine Heat and Hope Campaign.
With more than 50 percent of Ukraine’s electrical infrastructure damaged from the ongoing war, people across the country are struggling to survive without power for many hours a day—up to 12 hours in some cases!
That’s why the gift of a generator means so much to the churches we serve. One generator allows a church to become a center of heat and hope during the harsh cold winter months. Their worship services can continue, and these faithful servants can also extend the love of Christ to hurting Ukrainians in their communities.
Praise God with us as you consider what Peter and Viktor have to share . . .
From Peter:
I want to thank you all for the generator. Since there is no electricity in my villages where I serve
,and we have electric heating—we use electric heaters and oil radiators, and it is very expensive to heat with these kind of heating devices. So, we are very grateful for the generator. We have been praying as a church, and God has answered our prayers, because we could not have afforded such a thing for the church on our own. We are grateful to God for taking care of us through you! We are also grateful for the blankets that will be used to serve all the needy and displaced people. Please, accept sincere gratitude from these people! May the Lord bless you all in your continuing work!
From Viktor:
Thank you so much to SGA staff and those who’ve been involved in the purchase of the generators for the ministry in my church and my area. Now I have the tremendous opportunity to serve, even when there is no power, no heating! Thank you for your care in this issue. It’s a blessing! May the Lord bless you all abundantly!
[Translation from video]:
Here, in the garage the generator is working . . . and there, inside in the church, there is power already and heating.
In a time of great uncertainty, God is bringing help, healing, and hope to the people of Ukraine through SGA-supported pastors, churches, a seminary, and SGA-sponsored Compassion Ministry. Be a part of God’s incredible work with your generosity and prayer support.
Your gift of compassion helps struggling people with emergency aid that generally includes Scripture materials, food, medicine, warm clothing, and shoes.
