Even in the darkness, God’s light shines on! As this Christmas season continues to be celebrated into the new year, darkness seems to be seen all around us. Through war, rumors of war, tragedies, death, and even in the sinful hearts of man, we continue to see evil in many different circumstances. However, even in the middle of these circumstances, God’s light shines through.
There is great testimony of this throughout the churches, where SGA-supported Immanuel’s Child celebrations are taking place. Faithful servants shine brightly as they share the story of Jesus’ birth and bring great hope to many children and their parents. His light is seen reflected in the faces of the children who hear the Good News! Please continue to pray for these celebrations and that salvation will come to many through this. “Three children repented at the end of the meeting and testified that they accepted Jesus Christ as their personal Savior. Praise be to God!”

We held a celebration in a village in Central Asia. The day before the event, there was a strong wind that downed power lines, and there was no electricity in the whole village. We started the event in the darkness of the evening. Despite the circumstances, parents did bring their children! We opened with the story of the creation of the world told through pictures, and interacted with those present. The parents actively participated as well.
Then we told the story of the nativity of Jesus Christ, and about salvation through Him. Three children repented at the end of the meeting and testified that they received Jesus Christ as their personal Savior. Praise be to God! This is a great joy for us, and we thank God for giving us strength and opportunity to tell the children the Gospel!
Through this holiday, the gifts, and the joy of their children, some parents are seeing us as people from God. They hear that we tell them only about God, about His wonders, and His Word. We also testify to them that God gives people what they need: forgiveness of sins, salvation, healing, the Kingdom of God, and, of course, that Jesus will come to earth again as the Judge. Both parents and children listened with interest.
At the end of the celebration, to everyone’s joy, the power came on!
We gave gifts to the children and New Testaments to the parents. We are grateful to the Lord for Christmas gifts and want to thank all those who pray for us and donate on our ministry! May the Lord bless you all!
