By now, most of you know of my love for the SGA-sponsored Orphans Reborn ministry—especially because I was so closely involved in its launch years ago. Since then, this wonderful outreach has reached thousands of children with the Gospel, with many coming to saving faith in Christ.
And none of it would have been possible without you!
I can’t help but be awed when I realize how God has used Orphans Reborn to rescue many young lives from a hopeless future. As you read this issue of Good News Report, you can see clear evidence of this. When I’ve been over in the former Soviet Union talking to leaders of the ministry there, they tell me what the orphans face in the outside world. Many fall into addiction, prostitution, criminal gangs, homelessness, even prison.
Yet through Orphans Reborn, a lifeline is thrown to them with many taking hold of it. They warmly respond to the selfless love of the church teams who visit them and spend time with them. They see what it is like to be loved by the family of God, and to know that through His Son, they can indeed have a future and a hope.
Perhaps the biggest joy of all is to hear of how a young boy or girl who was reached through the ministry came to saving faith in Jesus, and on reaching adulthood, have joyfully joined Orphans Reborn teams themselves to reach other children just as they were reached.
God’s miraculous chain of grace continues to be forged link-by-link, and for His glory.
Please never underestimate the part you play in all this. Through your intercessory prayers, coupled with your ongoing, generous support, an eternal difference is being made in the lives of countless boys and girls who otherwise would have little to no hope. Thank you for all that you do in partnership with SGA!
For our Savior,
Orphans Reborn teams are reaching orphans with God's love at the orphanage and through continued ministry after they "age out."
Vyacheslav and his family saw God at work in the lives of three orphans after an orphanage asked them to take the children into their home.
