For more than four years, Ukraine’s eastern border has been torn apart by war. Some 10,000 lives have been lost, devastating many families and destroying homes. Thankfully, with the help of SGA partners, we’re able to support missionary pastors who are still working to bring the light of the Gospel into the darkness of war and bloodshed. Recently, one of our missionary pastors in eastern Ukraine sent us a wonderful report about their ongoing ministries to affected families and individuals—providing them with food, repairs for their homes, Christian literature, and most importantly, the life-changing Gospel.
Dear brothers and sisters, Grace and peace to you from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ!
The situation in the areas located in the so-called grey zone continues to be fluid, with escalations of violence in the Avdeevka area, as well as sporadic shelling and destruction in the area of Krasnogorovka. The ongoing shelling in Avdeevka has destroyed the civilian infrastructure, and the residential areas of the city. This has prompted us to go there more often, delivering more aid to people in need. We also visited Kamianka, which is located close to Avdeevka.
People often call or come to the church for help. Every morning, and after each shelling in the neighborhood, the church mobile team drives through the area to inspect the damage and offer help to the survivors.
Together with the team of Preobrazhenie church, our team is helping people whose homes have been destroyed. The materials purchased last month for patching windows and roofs allowed us to help families who were not able to do it on their own. Food parcels and bread supplies were delivered to 80 homes in Avdeevka, 60 homes in Krasnogorovka and 55 in Kamianka (in the environs of Avdeevka).
People show more interest in reading Christian literature. We try to always have a supply of books along to distribute when we are talking to people. We give thanks to God for your faithful material and prayer support of the Crisis Evangelism Fund to help these afflicted people. May God richly bless you and meet your needs according to the riches of His glory in Christ Jesus!

Pastor Oleg's church reached more than 250 people through SGA-supported Compassion Ministry, and some have started attending church services!
Despite the ongoing war, our brothers and sisters are intent on pressing ahead with SGA-supported Immanuel’s Child outreaches.
