Editor’s Note: The video below was provided by an SGA-supported pastor in Ukraine.

SGA-supported Pastor Andrei’s church is in an area of Ukraine that has suffered greatly during the ongoing war. Many IDPs (internally displaced persons) have come to his church seeking help, heat, and hope.

What a blessing, then, to receive the gift of a generator and a simple stove made possible through the generosity of friends like you! As you can see, now the church can meet again on Sundays and its chairs are full of grateful people. The stove has also provided opportunities for fellowship and outreach in their building.

Here is a short video Andrei recently sent to express his thankfulness. Please read the translated words as you watch . . .

As our church is large in size (on the other picture) so, the generator works only on Sunday services and when there is a severe cold outside. To keep it on for every day, it’s too expensive. So, now we’ve received this nice and compact stove and can use it in the church basement or in a smaller hall and when there is no electricity, the stove helps a lot.

It is so much cheaper to use, especially when we just need to warm up the room and make tea or coffee for a group. Members from our church are grateful and praising God for you and your open hearts!

Thank you so much and God bless you!

In a time of great uncertainty, God is bringing help, healing, and hope to the people of Ukraine through SGA-supported pastors, churches, a seminary, and SGA-sponsored Compassion Ministry. Be a part of God’s incredible work with your generosity and prayer support.

Your gift of compassion helps struggling people with emergency aid that generally includes Scripture materials, food, medicine, warm clothing, and shoes.
