During the ongoing war in Ukraine, the country’s power infrastructure continues to be a target. But through the generosity of friends like you, we’ve been able to ship Solar Power Survival Sets to many SGA-supported churches in the past several years!
Each set provides batteries, panels, and equipment that enables congregations to continue ministry if there’s no electricity—as well as when a generator is not operable due to a fuel shortage caused by the war.
We recently sent 40 sets to Ukraine. One was installed in a bomb shelter that was later destroyed during a rocket attack. But God is using other sets to allow churches serving on the front lines to flourish! Here is a report from Pastor Volodymyr from a community that suffers many rocket attacks. He shares how the Solar Power Survival Set he received is providing power for ministry to continue in two of the church building’s rooms . . .
Greetings, dear friends!
We thank you for your compassion, kind hearts, and understanding of our urgent needs. At this time, our church has installed and is using your solar energy system, which was connected to the existing power grid, and partially powered the backup lighting in two rooms of the church building. We are sending to you photos of the use of this solar power system that you have donated to us.
In order to power the emergency lighting in the lobby and in seven other rooms, we ask you, yet to provide solar energy systems if possible, please. Thank you very much for your concern about us! God’s blessings in your ministry, your families, wisdom, and long-suffering.
Sincerely,
Volodymyr
