Just when everyone thought all doors and windows had been closed off from Christians altogether in the home of an unsaved mother named Natalya, God gave salvation to her daughter Olga. And now Olga shines brightly. There are no boundaries with God!
Natalya said: “I want to see the Christians whom I have persecuted all my life. If their God changed my daughter this way, then I want to know this God.”This family received the best gift of all this past Christmas! Please pray that they all come to know, love, and serve the Lord in a great way this year!.
Diana, who serves faithfully alongside of her husband, Sasha, in Central Asia witnessed this beautiful miracle. She writes . . .
Olga’s story inspired us very much! And it showed us once again, that we are worthless slaves, doing what we must, laying all the fruits at the feet of Jesus.
Olga was born and raised in [Central Asia]. As a young girl, she met a guy and went to live in Germany. Her parents and younger brother remained in [Central Asia]. Her mother Natalya is a very influential woman; she has great influence in the area where she lives. All her neighbors respect her very much and even fear her at times. Natalya is an aggressive atheist, and she raised her children up in these principles. For many years, she even led events promoting atheistic views as a propagandist.
Her son fell ill, lost his family, and has now returned to his parents’ home as an adult. Natalya and her husband help him survive. Her daughter Olga experienced many difficult trials. She gave birth to two daughters. They are now 24 and 27 years old. Olga was left without a husband and lost all her property. Being in a very serious condition, she came to visit her parents and met with us. She heard the Gospel and at that very moment the Word of salvation came to her. Olga cried and could not understand what was happening to her.
Olga said: “Why, why haven’t I heard anything about God before? My life could have turned out differently.”
We talked a lot and supported her. She returned to Germany and received Bible lessons, sermons, and songs from us every day. Unfortunately, in the village where Olga lives there is neither a church nor Christians. We could only support her online.
One evening Olga sent a message: “I want to be baptized in water. I don’t want to hesitate. I worked as a hairdresser all month to earn money for a ticket. And God miraculously gave me so many clients that I was able to cover all obligations, payments, and earn money for a ticket.”
Olga flew in on the morning of December 24 and came straight from the airport to the morning church service. And on December 25 she was baptized in our church. Her mother experienced incredible horror from everything that was happening. Her mother Natalya tried all her life to protect her family from everything that belonged to Christianity. And God simply entered the heart of her beloved daughter. Olga became a big bright “lamp” in the darkness of their entire family. She became a living testimony for her parents and brother. After all, they knew her life “before” and they see her “now “happy, without depression, and full of fire inside.”
Olga says: “I cannot be silent. I always sing praises to God. I’m talking about the miracles He performs in my life. I spend hours talking to my daughters and teaching them about Christ. They enthusiastically accept everything they hear. They have already found churches in the cities where their colleges are located.”
And most importantly, her mother came to be present on the day of Olga’s baptism. Natalya said: “I want to see the Christians whom I have persecuted all my life. If their God changed my daughter this way, then I want to know this God.”
After Olga’s baptism, we talked a lot together. Natalya asked many questions. That same day they came to our Christmas celebration at our home Bible group. We sang praises to God together and listened to the Christmas sermon. This miracle happened this Christmas for this family. Next Sunday they want to come to church with the whole family. Please pray for them. About those who persecuted Christians, but God came to them in a special way.
In the evening Olga told us: “I prayed and decided to return to [Central Asia]. This is my church, my family. And I want to go with you around to the villages and spread the Gospel. I want to go with you to orphanages, hug orphans and talk about adoption.”
We understand that this decision is very serious for her. We trust God and know that He is in control. Olga’s story inspired us very much! And it showed us once again, that we are worthless slaves, doing what we must, laying all the fruits at the feet of Jesus.
