Here is a recent report from Pastor Dmytro, one of the many missionary pastors sponsored through SGA in the countries we serve, thanks to the generosity of friends like you. As you see the fruit of one congregation’s ministry during the ongoing war in Ukraine, remember that through your support, you are a partner in their outreach.
How encouraging it is to hear about all that God is accomplishing through His people! Notice the impact the humanitarian aid has made in Dmytro’s Ukrainian community—and how meeting physical needs opens the doors for Gospel conversations. Praise God for including us in His life-changing work!
Dear friends in the Lord!
Our church has been shelled many times, but by the grace of the Lord we have been protected by Him. From the very first days of the war, the Lord led us to serve the people who were hiding in the basement of the House of Prayer, to provide food to those in need. When the city became somewhat calm, we began to invite those people to church, where we preached the Gospel and helped them with the food.
We are grateful to God for those who donate their money and send food aid. Thanks to this help, thousands of people not only have food, but also hear the good news of Christ! Recently, our church received help from SGA in the amount of 14 pallets. We packed the aid into food packages and on June 16 we distributed the packages and did evangelism. We invited families with little children and IDPs [internally displaced persons], and a total of 330 people came. We plan to distribute the next part of the food aid to the people in need on June 23.
Christianity shows itself in action when most organizations, worried about their safety, leave people behind and evacuate themselves. God’s mercy spares those who agree to be the “mouth, hands and feet” of Jesus where war is going on. So, no matter how hard, no matter how difficult this war stage of life seems to be, God is with us because He is faithful and loving!
Thank you to all who pray and support! Because of your love for us, we are able to help people with food and witness to them about Jesus Christ.
He who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will supply and multiply your seed for sowing and increase the harvest of your righteousness. You will be enriched in every way to be generous in every way, which through us will produce thanksgiving to God (2 Corinthians 9:10-11).
Translation:I am sincerely grateful to all of you for your help. For feeling our needs with your hearts! Thank you very much!
Translation:Thank you very much for your help. All in the name of Jesus Christ!
