SGA-Sponsored Missionary Pastor in St. Petersburg, Russia
I’d like to share with you a wonderful testimony. It’s about the miraculous repentance of a young girl. She had been in bondage to addiction. After the Lord healed her and set her free from drugs, she began to walk around town and give out Bibles, testifying to people about her previous life and her new life with Jesus! As she told them, “I did not want to live. I used to be a drug addict. Prison did not help me. Doctors could not help me in the hospital. They told my parents to take me home as I was dying.”
But the Word of God says . . . The things that are impossible with people are possible with God (Luke 18:27). She told her listeners of God’s mercy and promise to forgive the sins of all who repent and trust in His Son. That very day several men turned to God and went to the rehab center. We praise God for this Christian sister as she did what the Bible says to do . . . Go home to your friends, and tell them what great things the Lord has done for you, and had compassion on you (Luke 8:39).
To celebrate the Lord and our new members of God’s family, we held a baptism service in the Central Church at Poklonnaya-Gora on December 17, 2017. A total of 20 people were baptized and committed their lives to serve God with a good conscience! It was our third baptism in 2017!
The numbers are in, and we rejoice at the impact of the SGA-sponsored Immanuel’s Child outreach across the former Soviet Union.
Through your support, new classes and workshops for foster families helped bring families to church for the first time.
Your donation will help change lives in former Soviet Union countries of Eastern Europe and Central Asia.
