Editor’s Note: An SGA -supported pastor in Ukraine provides the following videos.

In a city where power outages and cold temperatures have become part of daily life, an SGA-supported church in Ukraine is shining as a beacon of light.

Recent videos sent to us from an SGA-supported pastor show believers gathering in a church building with freezing indoor temperatures and limited electricity. There is now power to cook. Lights and sound are uncertain. Doors and windows have suffered damage.

But today, because of God’s provision through the generosity of friends like you toward the SGA-supported initiatives, Heat and Hope and Ukraine Relief, the church is open—and active.

See God at work and a special thank-you message. Watch the videos below:

A generator now powers the lights and sound system so worship can continue. Outside, hot meals are being prepared and distributed to neighbors in need. Damaged doors and windows have been repaired. And grateful hearts fill the room as the congregation lifts thanks to the Lord.

As Eric Mock, SGA’s Senior Vice President of Ministry Operations, shared after receiving the video footage: “What the world means for destruction, God can use for good.”

That is exactly what we see happening in Ukraine.

When missile attacks cripple power grids and leave communities without heat, SGA-supported missionary pastors do not retreat. Instead, they step forward in Jesus’ name—serving widows, children, the elderly, and struggling families.

Churches are being equipped with generators, fuel, and other critical resources through the kindness of believers like you. These are not just tools for survival. God uses them to open doors for prayer, for fellowship, and for the Gospel.

In the videos, you can see more than physical warmth. You can see spiritual encouragement. You can see a church standing firm. You can see neighbors receiving help—and hope.

Please continue to pray for this congregation and for SGA-supported churches across Ukraine. Pray that as they offer warmth and practical aid, many more hearts will be drawn to Christ.
