220706 Sga Ukraine War Emergency Stories 7 1 1 7

Here is an eyewitness update of distribution of aid shipped from Poland to Ukraine. One of SGA’s regional directors was there for the distribution of this aid to one of four villages and sends this report. To date, thanks to the generosity of believing friends like you, we have shipped close to 250 tons of aid into Ukraine. Praise God!

Together with the pastor and deacon of the church of [a Ukrainian city], we visited a small village . . . [the opposition] visited this village and did a lot of harm to the local people.

We arrived early in the morning at the appointed place and people began to converge. We brought food from Poland. And also the clothes that the believers from [a local church in Ukraine] collected. Blankets and household chemicals, laundry soap, shampoo and toothpaste and brushes.

At the beginning, the pastor gave a short, simple and clear sermon about God’s love for us sinners and how this love manifested itself in the life and death of our Savior Jesus Christ.

After the prayer, we began to distribute food and things. We also distributed the New Testaments. Mostly there were women, along with three men and one boy.

It was a pity to look at them, realizing what they had experienced during the occupation. Among the women were two women who were raped. It’s soul tearing. It’s a pain that hasn’t healed yet.

The road was through [two hard hit Ukrainian cities]. On the way we saw destroyed houses, gas stations and shops. Broken trees and rusty military equipment.

Thanks to everyone who is not indifferent to the grief of ordinary Ukrainian people who are unjustly suffering from the war.
