Editor’s Note: The following report, images, and videos were provided by an SGA-supported pastor in Ukraine.

Recently SGA’s Vice President of Ministry Operations, Eric Mock, met with two SGA-supported pastors—Dima and Vlad—in Ukraine. He reports from his ministry trip:

“It was my joy to meet with Dima and Vlad this evening, as they made the trip here from Zaporozhe. They are tired. The drone and missile attacks are nightly. There was hope last spring with a counteroffensive, but now that hope has turned into fatigue and there is no sense in which this will get better.

“They went on to provide an update on a city that is nearly destroyed. There are 1,100 people still there, and the city is 50 percent encircled by the invaders. Vlad travels there, and drives a two-mile section of road where he has had artillery shells explode close to his van. They take aid and where possible, bring people out. Yet the church still meets!

“With all the wreckage of the building, I thought there was nobody there. Yet in this building is a small room, with lights powered by a generator and they pray, worship, and fellowship. Most have left, but the hope of the Gospel remains.”

In a time of great uncertainty, God is bringing help, healing, and hope to the people of Ukraine through SGA-supported pastors, churches, a seminary and SGA-supported Compassion Ministry. Be a part of God’s incredible work with your generosity and prayer support.

Your gift of compassion helps struggling people with emergency aid that generally includes Scripture materials, food, and hygiene supplies.
