Ministry looks different in a time of conflict, especially in cities on the frontlines of the Ukraine war. SGA-supported Pastor Dima and his team minister travel to minister the Gospel to the people who have gathered in a community. The faithful servants provide emergency aid including food, blankets, and simple stoves and then quickly depart the area as the shelling begins.

Dima recently shared about this “new normal” way of outreach in one particularly hard-hit area of Ukraine:

“Today we have a difficult day in Ukraine, another missile attack. But we visited [a village near the frontlines]. We brought food, hygiene kits and first aid kits, and also brought stoves for people.  I was able to pray briefly for them, but then the shelling began there.”

We are grateful for God’s protection and this “open door” He has provided to speak forth the Good News of Jesus Christ (Philippians 4:3). Please pray for Dima and other SGA-supported pastors who continue reaching out to meet spiritual and physical needs though the dangers of war are all around them.

In a time of great uncertainty, God is bringing help, healing, and hope to the people of Ukraine through SGA-supported pastors, churches, a seminary, and SGA-sponsored Compassion Ministry. Be a part of God’s incredible work with your generosity and prayer support.

Your gift of compassion helps struggling people with emergency aid that generally includes Scripture materials, food, medicine, warm clothing, and shoes.
