Editor’s Note: The videos below were provided by an SGA-supported pastor in Ukraine.

SGA-supported Pastor Vlad recently sent the videos below to SGA’s Vice President of Ministry Operations, Eric Mock. Vlad and his ministry team were helping people flee from destruction as a result of the war in Ukraine and wanted us to see the ongoing ministry—and its very real risks—as the war continues.

Through the generosity of friends like you, we were able to provide fuel for this rescue mission as these faithful servants brought refugees to safety. While there in this region, Vlad and his team also passed out food packages provided by SGA partners, and delivered a water filtration system for those who are able to remain.

Please watch, listen to Vlad’s voice as you read the translations below and hear how hard it is to carry on each day. Pray for believers in Ukraine and continue to stand with them as they reach out with help and Gospel hope in their communities.

Translation:

Today we are on evacuation mission in Orikhiv. Here are the evidence of war atrocities. You see what’s left of civilians’ households. We are looking for house 133 where people wait for us.

Translation:

Here is the address where people are ready to evacuate . . . people in advanced years. We can hear the fighting, on the outskirts of the town . . . not far from Novodanilovka or Novobohdanovka. We get the people into the van and will be ready to go.

Translation:

Today is 25th of August and we came to Orikhiv  . . . destruction everywhere. I am going to evacuate people. Thank God, everybody’s survived.

More footage of destruction.
