Some of the most vulnerable people in Ukraine have been left behind since the start of the war, including families, children, and the elderly. Local churches are doing their very best to meet their needs. One small SGA-supported church is distributing food and sharing God’s love with those suffering. Read the report and watch a testimonial video below from a congregant who received aid and is incredibly grateful for our friends like you!

I greet you in the Name of the Lord!

On behalf of our church, we would like to express our sincere gratitude for your help! Most of the people in our church are elderly people. That’s why your help is so much needed during this time of war. May the Lord reward you for your hard work and care!

Our church is small. We have only 13 members, but have been involved in helping people who are in need since the beginning of the war. Throughout the war, we have been helping with food for IDPs families, needy families, and the poor. We have been doing evangelism and distributing food packages. All the needy elderly believers received food (flour, sugar, pasta, sunflower oil, canned food, tea, coffee, and sweets). Unbelievers who attend our church services have received the same food packages.

With love,

Your brothers and sisters from Ukraine

Translation from Congregant:

God is working in my life. And He works through the people we meet. We not only receive material help, but we also receive a lot of spiritual help. In my opinion, only God can encourage people to help and support others who are in need! How do I feel about help from people I have never met or seen? I am just grateful to them! We know the value of such help! We really need it now and we are grateful to the Lord for such people, for their generosity!

In our family, we think about God every day, and there is no day when we would not think about Him! We feel God’s help for us, His love for us both through people and through the improvements in our family relationships with our growing children. When I feel peaceful in some important matters, I feel that this is also God’s work, otherwise I would behave much worse. God forgives us so much in our lives, so we need to be kind and take everything patiently.

In a time of great uncertainty, God is bringing help, healing, and hope to the people of Ukraine through SGA-supported pastors, churches, a seminary, and SGA-sponsored Compassion Ministry. Be a part of God’s incredible work with your generosity and prayer support.

Your gift of compassion helps struggling people with emergency aid that generally includes Scripture materials, food, medicine, warm clothing, and shoes.
