SGA-supported missionary pastors like Pastor Alexander never want you to forget that you are working alongside them for the Lord. “I planted, Apollos watered, but God was causing the growth,” Paul writes in 1 Corinthians 3:6. “So then neither the one who plants nor the one who waters is anything, but God who causes the growth” (v. 7).

You are a fellow worker with Pastor Alexander, working in God’s field — and to God be the glory! See how He is using the generosity and prayer support of believers like you to equip Pastor Alexander and his church for life-changing outreach. Here is the pastor’s most recent letter as he continues to serve with you in wartime Ukraine . . .

Dear brothers and sisters,

The warmest greetings to everyone who is going through an extremely tough time with us in Ukraine!

The Lord is GOOD, and He has been working through the church in [a Ukrainian village] at such a challenging time. Praise God we can see the results of the work done by people, by the Lord and the Holy Spirit!

I would like to share a story that happened to us with you. It happened at the time when we were distributing food packages to needy church people, and to those are in need but not part of the church.

When we came to one of the villages where some church people lived, they told us about one very poor family that lived not far from them. There are five minor children in the family. As soon as we heard about them, we made a decision to go and meet them.

It was a blessing to meet them! We had a wonderful time to talk to the parents and play with their children. We witnessed to them about Christ and His great love for people. We gave them Christian literature, and prayed with them.

It’s difficult to convey in words the emotions that were on the children’s and parents’ faces when they received the food package. It was so touching when they said that they had not known what to feed their children with because they hadn’t had any food at home. They got excited to see all those foodstuffs. When I looked at them at that moment, I couldn’t find any words to say. I just started crying and tears were streaming down my face.

We invited them to church services at our church, and we believe that the Lord will lead those people to salvation through our joint ministry with YOU!

We are grateful to God for the granted opportunity to serve with you! May God richly bless you in His mighty ways!

With love and prayers,

Pastor Alexander
