What does reaching a child with the love of Jesus look like during wartime in Ukraine? For the delighted little one pictured here, it begins with a package of food. When SGA-supported Pastor Mikhail and his church were able to gather enough food to make 300 packages, they delivered one to this child’s family.

“We try to minister first to households run by single-aged people, families with small children or large families, as well as families whose members have disabilities,” the pastor says of the people unable to evacuate from the region where his church is serving.

Jesus wanted the children to come to Him (Matthew 19:14). And in this devastating time in Ukraine, drawing a young hurting heart to our Lord and Savior — and encouraging a child to trust in Him and His care for us — can begin with a package of food.

In a time of great fear and uncertainty, God is bringing help, healing, and hope to the people of Ukraine through SGA-supported pastors, churches, a seminary, and SGA-sponsored Compassion Ministry. Be a part of God’s incredible work with your generosity and prayer support.

Your gift of compassion helps struggling people with emergency aid that generally includes food, medicine, warm clothing, shoes, and Scripture materials.
