Editor’s Note: The report and images below were provided by an SGA-supported pastor in Ukraine.

Before the Ukraine war, perhaps none of us would have thought a simple stove could become an outreach tool for the Lord. But during these cold winter months in Ukraine, it is. The gift of a simple stove provided by generous friends like you through SGA’s Ukraine Heat and Hope Campaign has connected the family pictured here with SGA-supported Pastor Olexander’s congregation.

This is how God uses the gifts of His people. From your generosity, a church in our network is equipped with funds to provide emergency supplies to Ukrainians in need. Not only are immediate physical needs being met, but connection is established between community members and the local church. As Olexander says in his note of thanks below, it’s a “mobile miracle” . . .

Thank you so much to SGA and sponsors for such wonderful stoves. They are not only for heating, but also to make a tea. This family has even cooked a soup with the meat. In 20 to 40 minutes the room is getting warm. It’s so fast!

The family in the picture moved from Kherson. They were settled in a house where no one had lived for five years. There was a stove there, but over the years the old stove collapsed and local thieves stole all the metal. So, thank you for this new and nice one!

This family will be able not only to warm themselves, but also to cook meals. They thank God for the sponsors and developers of this mobile miracle.

May the Lord bless you all!”

In a time of great uncertainty, God is bringing help, healing, and hope to the people of Ukraine through SGA-supported pastors, churches, a seminary, and SGA-sponsored Compassion Ministry. Be a part of God’s incredible work with your generosity and prayer support.

Your gift of compassion helps struggling people with emergency aid that generally includes Scripture materials, food, medicine, warm clothing, and shoes.
