Editor’s Note: The image and story below were provided by an SGA-supported church in Ukraine.
When we received these images from an SGA-supported church in Ukraine recently, the enemy was regrouping and preparing for the next phase of the war in eastern Ukraine. But the city ministered to by this church has already undergone horrific attacks since the war began nearly two months ago.
What our brothers and sisters in Christ report they saw in this particular community was brutal — bodies in yards, including one grandmother who was just outside watering her garden, and people with children not fleeing out of fear even though gunfire and shelling continues.
Please pray for strength and perseverance of SGA-supported pastors and churches as they continue to minister the hope of the Gospel and bring food and other emergency aid where the conflict is intensifying. And pray for the suffering people of eastern Ukraine as they watch and wait for a new assault . . . and may they turn to God . . . their “very present help in trouble.”
In a time of great uncertainty, God is bringing help, healing, and hope to the people of Ukraine through SGA-supported pastors, churches, a seminary, and SGA-sponsored Compassion Ministry. Be a part of God’s incredible work with your generosity and prayer support.
Your gift of compassion helps struggling people with emergency aid that generally includes Scripture materials, food, medicine, warm clothing, and shoes.
