Summer Camps & Youth Ministry
Editor’s Note: The video below was provided by an SGA ministry team member in Kazakhstan.

In the story below, our Storyteller Alma shares with us the paths of two brothers. Slava is so thankful for the ministry that he is able to be a part of and yet sadly compares his life to that of his brother’s.

Once again, we are thankful for the believers who lived out their faith during a Summer Bible Camp and were a great example to this young man.  Here is Slava’s story as told to Alma . . .

Hello dear brothers and sisters! My name is Slava, and I am from western Kazakhstan. I am a wheelchair user. My dad died when I was three years old, and my mom raised us alone. I heard about Jesus Christ during the summer Christian camp, which was organized by a local Evangelical Christian-Baptist Church. As they invited me every summer, I always visited them.

When I became older, I was invited to the youth camp. In these camps I always experienced love and help from the brothers and sisters. Maybe the life of these Christians influenced on me most of all. Psalm 22 touched my heart as well. I think these two things led me to Christ. I repented and received Jesus after attending one of these camps.

Now looking back, I compare my life with my brother who also was visiting some camps but didn’t want be with Jesus. Our lives are different.  My brother is very poor spiritually and has lots of difficulties. I am happy being saved and serving My Lord! My main ministry now is inviting kids and teens to different camps, because I know a lot of people in our city.
